Dinner @ Ho Ho Steamboat Restaurant

Wednesday, August 27, 2008

Wow.. yesterday was another rainy day... It has been raining for the past few days already, the weather was so cold. Therefore, it's nice to have something really hot.. like hot soup, hot porridge, steamboat, or even Bak Kut Teh...

I'd tagged Joanne along with me, we had steamboat at somewhere near Kota Damansara -- Ho Ho Steamboat Restaurant. This is the 4th branch they have. The main branch is located at Bandar Baru Sri Petaling, 2nd at Jalan Segambut, 3rd at Jalan Medan Putra 3, Bandar Menjalara.

We'd ordered set menu @ MYR 13.00 per set (minimum 02 set). It's standard size meal, it comes with a two plates. The 1st plate is includes some fishball, fish noodle, fish fillet, fish roll, fish meat, vegatable roll, meat ball, meat roll, dumpling, yam, quail egg, QQ taufu, fried taufu, seafood taufu, white taufu, dried taufu, prawns and veggies. The 2nd plate is meehon, yeemee and with two eggs. It's just nice for 2 peoples, unless you are the big eater then you will have to order some side order =P

The base soup is nice, we dumped in all meats to make the soup taste better and then followed-by veggies. It's so satisfying after having this during rainy day... and our stomach were bloated. It's nice to sleep now (but it's not good for health though) :P

Dinner @ Umai-Ya Japanese Restaurant

Tuesday, August 26, 2008

It was kinda tired after reach back to PJ after work. So I'd decided to look for Joanne (my best roomie, my best soulmate) for dinner before heading back home. It was raining and I was so hungry while waiting for her off work. I was walking around the shops, checking out the new foods. So I came to Umai-Ya Japanese Restaurant (it wasn't new place, I passed-by very often but never dine in).

Since it was raining, and we do not want to walk so far to get our car, and we'd decided to dine at Umai-Ya Japanese Restaurant. The atmosphere, the design, the enviroment looks very authentic and cozy. They have these low tables setting with cushions on the floor near to the entrance. We ordered quite a lot (for girls) because we were just too hungry...It happens when come to rainy days... :P

Chicken Teriyaki Set @ MYR 23.00

Saba Shioyaki (Grilled Mackerel Fish) @ MYR 17.00

Home Cook Foods

Sunday, August 24, 2008

My cooking mood is back!!! I woke up at 9am, and start preparing my lunch already. First, I boiled a pot of water for my favorite soup---white carrot soup =) Dump in all ingredients and of course meat to make it taste better, and let it cook for 3 hours.

My mom bought a chicken cost RM 20, so I'd decided to steam it. Cleaned up the chicken and chopped it into smaller size.. You might be thinking who helped me to chop it right? No one help me, I did it myself. Don't look down on me okay... =P Let it steam for 15 minutes...

Lastly, I fried the veggie with garlic only... a very simple style yet it tasted yummy... Kinda satisfied with my 'hard' work today... they finished my cook foods !!! *thumb up* =P

Malaysia Airlines Going Boycott Again?

Monday, August 18, 2008

Recently, Malaysia Airlines Offer a new flexi employment to their staffs.. They were given 02 choices to pick until 1st October : (i) voluntary leave programme [VLP] and (ii) a part-time work programme...

For VLP, there are two options given to Malaysian-based permanent staff, except technical crew which includes pilot and cabin crew :
(i) Allowes employees to take a monthly allowance amounting to 20 percent of his or her last drawn basic salary or RM500, whichever is higher and they also enjoy existing medical and dental benefits.
(ii) Allows employee to enjoy his or her annual privilege travel, concessional travel and medical benefits. However, there is no monthly allowance. Employees can take the leave and return as a full-time employees in either 6 or 12 months.

For Part-time work programme, Malaysian-based permanent staff who are not on shift duties, to work part-time with their work schedule and basic salary to be halved. With the approval from their immediate superior, employees can opt to work alternate weeks, either morning or afternoon sessions or alternate between 2 or 3 days a week.

It was not the good idea to implement this new flexi employment though. Eversince they'd introduced, MAS staffs are getting lazier at works now because they are busy choosing the two options given to them, which is better for them. I would say most of them would take the Part-time work programme because they are just lazy overred all. If not, you may just simple dial their toll free number at anytime at 1300-88-3000, it takes years for them to answer phone. It was the same situation happened when MAS went boycott silently sometime last year.

WiL's Birthday Bash

Yesterday had a great gathering at Poppy Garden... Met up quite a number of my friends from colleges and so were my friends. I'd called everyone out!!!! It was a birthday bash for William Boy turning 24 years old...:P They were few of them traveled all the way from Kelantan, Johor and even Singapore just to attend WiL's party. Sound cool right?

We had a table next to the pool, it was very crowded that night because our group was huge...approx. 20-30 peoples or even more. It was kinda scary though when you walked along the pool, because you wouldn't know what will happen. It could be pushed out of the sudden, purposely or unintentionally???

We'd ordered 3 bottles of liquors and 1 bottle of champagne... and not even by 2am, drinks were all finished. You guys are just hardcore drinker and also our groups were huge.. that's why...

It was glad to meet up most of classmates, coursemate or collegemates that night after so long didn't hang out eversince we started working few years back...wow, sound very old but indeed we are getting old =P

Not much talking of that night, everyone is seem to be very happy to see one another. Naturally, we took many pictures.. its captured every happy moments we had. Let's check 'em out :

Wil was too heavy and the float sunk, got wet all over

No Frill, Just Thrill?

I received a call from one passenger who will be flying with us to from Bangkok-Tokyo-Minneapolis-Boston... he asked and wonder if his air-ticket paid for the meal on board? I was like... eehh.. *stunned for a while and replied him*

"Well, we are full service airlines, not no frill airlines... of course there is meal serve onboard....."

"Okay" but his "okay' is not okay, he didn't get my answer... "sigh* again he asked "but i wanted to know if the airfare i'd paid, does it includes meal, do i need to pay for the meal? "YES, International flights from Bangkok-Tokyo-Minneapolis, meals will be served onboard and it's FREE"

The reason he asked because he read it somewhere saying that we don't serve meal on board!!!??? Where?? I also wanted to know if it is true for nearly 20 hours flight journey! If it's really true then i think no one would like to fly with us already, because they will surely starve to dead..... lolz

Baby's Birthday @ Kogetsu 湖月

Tuesday, August 12, 2008

Today is Baby's Birthday... just got back from dinner with him. After work, he picked me up from office and headed to Subang Saujana. I'd suggested to have his birthday dinner at Kogetsu. An hour later, we arrived there and chosen the table near window where we can have the lake view.. It's nice and calm place, suits for couples.

We both staring at the menu, quite a while we both was stuck and do not know what to order. And baby was asking me that "are you sure you wanna buy me dinner? it's expensive ler, at least RM 300, let me pay for it okay?" "No, today is your birthday, i should buy you dinner" "nah, it's okay, it doesn't make any different"... Still can't think of what to have, therefore we asked the waiter to recommend some for us.

Check out what we'd ordered :

Shake Sashimi @ MYR 44.00

Soft Crab Maki @ MYR 31.00

Wakadori Tpyaki @ MYR 28.00

Shimeji, Enoki, Shiitake @ MYR 64.00

Saba @ MYR 28.00

Shimeji, Enoki and Shiitake is what they'd recommended to us. But it's so-so only.. it was just 3 different types of mushrooms and it costs MYR 64.00.. it's too pricey! Moreover, the way they cooked Enoki with alcohol.. not sure if it was sake but it tastes too strong.. a bit disappointed.

I kinda like the Shake Sashimi, though it was thick but it tastes very fresh ! Believe me, this is really good... and they are also famous it's tenpayaki chicken. So you should try it ! Besides ordered the above mentioned, we also ordered rice--Ninniku Ymeshi (garlic fried rice) & Tori Ymeshi (chicken fried rice) at MYR 13 each.

The total bill is MYR 254... baby paid for it.. lolz.. after that, we took a slow walks at hotel area. Two of us, holding hands, taking a slow walk under the starlight... it kinda romantic thou =P ... I didn't buy any birthday gift to my baby but i hand-made a birthday card to him. I hope he likes it because he didn't say anything after he saw and read it... good sign or bad sign? take a glance of it the outlook... =P

Well, I should stop by now, it's already 12.30am.. I need to sleep...
Happy
Birthday to Baby once again.. Love you *Hugz*

Yesterday Once More

Wednesday, August 6, 2008

I just cant believe your gone
Still waiting for morning to come
When i see if the sun will rise

In the way that your by my side
Where we had so much in store
Tell me what is it all reaching for
When were through building memories
I'll hold yesterday in my heart
In my heart

They can take tomorrow and the plans we made
They can take the music that we'll never play

All the broken dreams

Take everything

Just take it away
But they can never have yesterday

They can take the future that we'll never know
They can take the places that we said we will go
All the broken dreams
Take everything
Jusy take it away
But they can never have yesterday
You always choose to stay
I should be thankful for everyday
Heaven knows what the future holds
Or least where the story goes
I never believed it until now
I know I'll see you again I'm sure
No its not selfish to ask for more
One more night one more day
One more smile on your face
But they can't take yesterday

I thought our days would last forever
But it wasn't our destiny
Coz' in my mind we had so much time
But i was so wrong
No i can believe me i can still find the strength in the moments we made
I'm looking back on yesterday

The lobby--this is the very first time i see escalator in hotel lobby

The lounge--very 'English' style design...

The lift area--there's a very big vase, very 'Chinese'
and
a very 'Europe' table mirror...

And we were told this is their BUSINESS CENTER with Wi-Fi
BUT have to bring your own laptop la... and the design very 'Chinese'...

The architecture in this hotel is really a mess !! From Chinese, Malay, English to Europe !!! ***Speechless***
