I-AM-GOING-TO-HONGKONG !!!

Tuesday, July 21, 2009

Yes!!! Finally, I'm going to HongKong... next month, during Merdeka weekend for summer sales. Come, let's go !

Recently, we were offered to stay at Regal Hotel Hong Kong from now until 31Aug09. And we were given a choice of 5 hotels : Regal Kowloon, Regal Hong Kong, Regal Airport, Regal Riverside and Regal Oriental. Does it sound great??

Let's check out the hotel room by each Regal Hotel :

Regal Airport Hotel, Chek Lap Kok

Regal Kowloon Hotel, Tsim Sha Tsui

Regal Hong Kong, Causeway Bay

Regal Riverside, Shatin

Regal Oriental, Kowloon City

Hence, I'd made a reservation myself a 3 complimentary nights stay at Regal Kowloon inclusive of breakfast. It's located at Tsim Sha Tsui area and easy accesible for me, who hasn't been to Hong Kong.. (what a shame, right?)

I haven't plan where to go yet and perhaps you guys would like to suggest like places to eat, or must see attractions?

I would buy Cathay Pacific flight ticket for myself and baby, as for his birthday present from me = ) Hope he would like it. I would say the whole trip was bought for him... and of course EXCLUDES expenses (la)... hahaha

Manila Trip

Tuesday, February 10, 2009

The flight to Manila is about 3.55 hours!!! It was so tiring as the Airasia's seat unable to recline that much and the legroom were so narrow. I was thinking to get myself to seat at the emergency row but it was taken by others. *sigh*

The flight arrived into Clark Field at about 11.00am and we were queueing for the immigration for nearly one hour as they are only 04 counters opened, 02 counter for Philippines Passport Holder and another 02 counters for foreigners... Right after the immigration, we'd claimed our luggage and here we go.. Manila !!!
Right before the exit door, there are counters selling bus tickets, and taxi. We bought bus ticket to Manila at PHP 300 one-way. This is non-stop bus service from Clark Airport to SM Megamall A and back to its Terminal at Pasay City. The bus journey takes about 1.5 hours but due to the stupid traffic in Manila, we reached SM Megamall A at about 2ish...
From there, we took taxi back to hotel. We've got conned!!! It was just a short distance away, it costed us PHP 1000!!! The taxi driver told us that it was the standard rate from Mandaluyong to Makati. *wtf* Well, if you ever go, tell them to use meter. It's 4 times cheaper if you were to take a meter taxi.

After checked-in to hotel, we walked out to have our late lunch. We walked along the Makati Avenue. Here we found one Chinese Fast Food--Chow King along the road. We had our lunch here. It wasn't taste good either, my wonder why so many people dine-in...
After that, we walk down to Ayala Triangle--Manila Financial District Area and to Greenbelt. We did a lot of walking and kinda tired as we do not have a good sleep the night before that. So we decided to have our dinner at Greenbelt 3 and head back to hotel.. another long walk...
The next day, we had breakfast at hotel and heading to Intramuros -- the old capital of Manila. We walked and visited the Rizal Park Monument, Fort Santiago, San Agustin Church, Manila Cathedral, Rizal Shrine and Casa Manila. Thereafter, we walked to United Nation LRT station to take LRT to Edsa station, and it was only PHP 15 one way. We thought of walking to Mall of Asia, without releasing it was pretty far !! Indeed we took a Jeepney there, and it cost PHP 7.50 only...
We shopped and we walked around Mall of Asia, it was the 4th largest shopping mall in the world. Evening, we had dinner and thought of going to the Manila Casino, it's somewhere near to the airport. But the taxi driver do not know where's it and he doesn't speak well in English and we can't communicate !!! The stupid taxi driver keep saying that he know where's but indeed he doesn't and he brought us to another smaller casino just within to walkin distance from Mall of Asia, and we had to pay PHP 150 for the fees ! Real stupid taxi driver. *aaarrrrggghhh*
to be continued...

My Holidays...

Wednesday, November 19, 2008

I was kinda busy with my works lately eversince when I back from my work+holidays to Sabah & Kuching last month.

Erm... now back to my work+holidays..
I was in KK for a week, first two nights was with my sales manager for work and then I'd extended my holidays, another four nights. One of my colleague asked me, don't I feel bored staying in KK for a week? My replied to her was NO.. not at all. I was so busy working and meeting up my friends.. I was so exciting...
When I was in KK, I brought one of my friend from KL--Kim Jie to visit KK.. I brought her to Muzium Sabah, and Nexus Karambunai Beach Resort and had a late lunch together at Warisan Square before I sent her back to her aunt's house. There goes half a day... and then I drove to airport to meet up my ex-colleagues.

Besides meeting up with my ex-colleagues for dinner, I also went up to the Kinabalu Park for a night stay with friends! It was so cold up there because it was raining heavily and windy. It was a nice place to stay (I think the last visit plus overnight was few years back). Feeling so cool and relax.

While waiting for my friend to pick me from hotel to airport... this is what I did in the hotel room... camwhoring (again) ...=P

After staying six nights in KK, I had another three nights stay in Kuching. I was staying with one of my ex-colleague from MI. Since i was not familiar with the roads in Kuching, so they will have to become my driver, I just like to be driven... =P . They brought me to local delicacies.. I like the noodles. I had noodles for my three meals a day. A bowl of noodles is just so cheap !!! Love it !

She's just look gorgeous..

I'm back !

After 3 hassle days in Penang & Ipoh, I'm back to my home sweet home...

We started our journey from office at 11.30am... we talked, we laughed, we got saman on the way!
Speed was only at 126km per hour, and they were asking for 'kopi duit' at RM 128 and threaten us if we don't pay and they will issue saman and will be blacklisted straight away! Craps, we don't pay them and insisted them to issue saman.

Continued our journey, kinda hungry and we stopped at R&R for a quick lunch. This is the quickest lunch we both never had before, it was only 10 minutes ! As we were running out of time already. Because we have meeting at 4pm.

An hour later, we arrived Penang at 3.30pm, yeah we made it !
Arrived Penang office, started to 'do works'.. hahaha!!! I'm serious la, really work okay.. Work until 10.30pm!!!! See, I'm so hardworking???!!!I don't work until this hour when i was in KL.. =P It was all because of the printer and also the photocopy machines, like tortoise ! damn slow!

Checked in hotel at The Northam, just next to my office. It was a junior suite room with jacuzzi.. but really have no time to enjoy it. I was half dead. Lolz

Next day, woke up at 6.30am to prepare myself, dressed up, and have breakfast. Did some preparation at the function room. Set up the mic, speaker, projector and etc... As presentation will start at 9am... Presentation started by GM, Me and followed by manager.
This is the 2nd time i present, so a bit steady... =P

After presentation, we had nasi kandar for lunch... went back office to do some briefing before heading down to Ipoh... We left Penang Island before 4pm to avoid the traffic.. and arrived Ipoh at around 6++pm.. Checked-in hotel and went out for dinner...

Next morning, went for sales visits... managed to visit 5 agents by 5pm.. Great! At last, i finished my works! But didn't go back to KL but stayed back another few hours for happy hours!! I was so tired and have no choice to entertain a bit... drink la ! Reached back KL at 10pm! Exhausted.........

My recent trip to REP

Tuesday, May 6, 2008

Just got all the pictures took in Cambodia from my dear. Yeah, this is our first trip =) I remembered before we got together, he did ask me whether or not he will bring me to a trip, I answered "I don't know, but even though you don't, I can travel on my own as I like to travel"....

After 02 months relationship, there was a night, we were going for movie at One Utama, and he asked : "Baby, let's go on a holiday!" I'm very happy indeed but I didn't show much of my happiness toward him and answered : "where and when do you want to go?" "Langkawi? We could take a flight there? Nope.. that's too near... errmm... let's go to AngkorWat then... we could travel in the month of April?" "Well, let's check out the airfare/accommodation and etc then we shall decide..." At last, we'd decided to go Angkor Wat... I asked him, why are you bringing me for trip? He said he sayang me wor, that's why he bought me this trip. :P
Well, time flies, and we travelled to Angkor Wat and now back ! A good trip, because I travelled with my dearest, and enjoyed so much so when we were in Cambodia. Peoples there are friendly, foods are variety, and it's just that the weather in Cambodia is too hot and humid! Once you get out from the hotel, you will start sweating.. Well, April is the hottest months throughout the year, also known as their summer.

sunrise

Upon arrival, we got a pick-up arrangement by the hotel. And our driver, he can speak English fluently and start introduce his country to us, and he has already planned the itinerary for us and wanted to bring us around! Well, we agreed and he earned USD25 for transportation fees. Not so bad, he brought us to Tonle Sap Lake, a huge dumbbell-shaped body of the water stretching across the northwest section of the country. And Tonle Sap Lake is the largest fresh water lake in South East Asia, also the richest fishing lake in the world. Home to over 5000 peoples. And we paid USD19 per person for the boat ride.

Tonle Sap Lake as my background

Soon after we'd visited Tonle Sap Lake, we went for lunch at Old Market and then check-in hotel. We stayed at Radius International Hotel.. it's kind old hotel but overall is okay... as long as we got our lodging. We rest awhile before going out to Cambodia Cultural Village. The entrance fees kinda expensive thou', it's USD9 per person for nothing special.. i would discourage you to go, because it is too crowded, full of Cambodian as they get in for free. Cambodian just like to hang out there under the hot sun, I'm just do not know why...

palace in miniature at Cambodian's Cultural Village

We went for dinner at one of the Khmer restaurant nearby our hotel, the environment is cozy and the foods are nice. I would strongly recommend you to eat with reasonable price! We walked a bit before we get back to hotel... there goes our 1st day...

Danmak Khmer Restaurant

2nd day, we went for Angkor Wat by tuk-tuk, and the transportation fees is USD15 for the day, as the tuk-tuk driver will have to bring us around, from one temple to another. That's cheaper than the 1st day. I couldn't remember how many temples we went.. we do skipped some of the temples as my dear just too afraid of height and the stairs are too steep. And of course, the most famous temple (except Angkor Wat) is the Ta Prohm (also known as The Tomb Raider), unrestored, massive fig and silk cotton trees grow from the towers and corridors offering a 'jungle atmosphere' and 'tree in temple' at Angkor.

Ta Keo was constructed on three levels with stairways
on the principal axes, topped by a quincunx of towers.

Ta Prohm

It's tiring walking under the hot sun, and we didn't put on sun-block lotion either. That's why both us look so tanned. Nevertheless, the trip to Angkor Wat is the best one i would say.. it's just USD20 for a day trip pass, and you can walk all temples you can. Unfortunately we couldn't make it all as we are too tired of walking. At least we have visited Angkor Wat and Ta Prohm aka 'Tomb Raider Tree'. =)

Our entrance pass

We had shower before walking to Old Market for dinner. And we went for a massage center to have body & leg massage for an hour just for USD7.. quite cheap! Because my dear couldn't walk back to hotel already... most probably we walked too much! The whole day we were just walking here and there. Enjoyed the massage so much so until we both fell asleep, as the environment there is just nice with some fragrance and the lights are dimmed. After the one hour massage, we walked back to the hotel, slept well also.
Basically, we didn't do anything much on 3rd day. After breakfast, we rented a bicycle just for USD1 for the whole day... and we cycled around the town! Awesome! And I never think that I would cycle outside my country but I did it with my dear! It has been more than 10 years I didn't cycle, somehow it's hard to balance myself..hehehehe But overall, it's okay and as long as didn't hit by car or whatsoever. Lolz.....

We walked around the old market, and tried the lotus seed for 2000 Riel.. It's nice and you can hardly find in Malaysia. On the 3rd day itself--13 April 2008, it's Cambodian Public Holiday, aka Khmer New Year. You can find the ritual thingy right in front of every hotel/guest house or house... Not so much of the celebration in town, and we were told all the celebration is held at the Cultural Village which we went on 1st day. 3rd day is also the last day we were in SiemReap. We rested earlier as we gonna catch our next day early morning flight back to Malaysia...

After check-in our flight and paid the departure tax of USD25 per person, we went outside to snap some pictures before we leave this beautiful country... The total flight time is 02 hours. we both didn't really sleep.... and still thinking the trip... ;) It's nice and memorable trip, and I didn't expect my dear would bring me for a trip so soon... Thanks baby!
