Tykoh Inagiku @ Menara Keck Seng

Sunday, June 7, 2009

It has been awhile I didn't update my foods blog... simply because I was too busy with work recently and STRESSED!!!

Early last month, met up with ex-colleagues at Tykoh Inagiku for Tracy's birthday celebration as well as found-a-job for me =P This is the very first time I bought them dinner, an exclusive one after two years working together.Tykoh Inagiku offered a very descent ambience and mostly Japanese dine in this restaurant. It serves a very authentic Japanese foods and it's delicious! However, it's not cheap to dine! Let's check it out how exclusive and mouth-watering foods we'd ordered.

Since a-la-
carte is costly, so do the course meal.. we decided to order course meal for 4 persons instead. It includes appetizer, main courses and desserts.

Sashimi / seafood platter

Kushiyaki

Tempura

Claypot Rice with clams

Fruits with Ice cream, it's green tea flavor

Personally, the claypot rice with clams is very yummy and you could taste the freshness of the clams as well as the 'short-grain' Japanese rice,
its unique stickiness and texture. The course meal for 4 persons is approx. MYR 345.00nett including ocha and service tax. Exclusive and Expensive !!!!!

Feel free to make a reservations ! oh-ya, they do offer tatami-seat in a private room with a surcharge. Call to find out more.

Dinner @ Nak Won

Monday, March 16, 2009

Last Friday was the last day of working. As we were busy packing stuffs, cleaning up and etc.

After a tired day, I suggested to have a Korean BBQ dinner at 'Korean Village' along Jalan Ampang. That was my first time having Korean BBQ, not sure what to order. Luckily there were pictures on the menu which made my life easier :D

I chose a dish of beef and pork for BBQ and few main course which we could share. We had a Korean style's 'tatami' seat at corner. The ambience was okay. We didn't really enjoy ourselves because next to our table, there were few youngster talking and laughing out loud. =(

The Korean Style's starter

Beef sliced rib marinated barbeque @ MYR 53/pax

Marinated pork barbeque on hot plate MYR 26/pax

Ginseng Chicken Soup with rice @ MYR 25

Taufoo soup with rice @ MYR 15

Mixed rice with assorted veggies served in hot stone bowl @ MYR 15
There were a waiter served and BBQ the pork and beef for us. The beef was really tasty though I hardly take beef but it was just perfect! *mouth-watering* It tastes much better than the pork! Seriously, no joke.

The foods we ordered was just nice for 4 peoples. Foods are delicious with reasonable pricing though beef is slightly expensive but its worth. They did serve fruits and some sort of barley juice, its very refreshing and cooling. Bill came, it was just MYR 144 for 4 persons. Cheap right?

Farewell Dinner @ Ozeki Tokyo Cuisine

Thursday, March 12, 2009

It's hard to say goodbye to everyone who has worked together for years though it's not out of our will... It's not a farewell dinner for myself nor my colleagues, it's for all of us in the company. It's pretty sad that we have to go on with our own path from now on. I would say this is the best team I ever work with before.

Boss with his assistants from Singapore came to KL to settle the outstanding issues and also to buy us a farewell dinner. We'd booked a table at Ozeki Tokyo Cuisine, at the lobby of Menara TA One where my office located. I have never dine in before. This will be the first time and the last time for me because foods are expensive!!

We ordered variety of foods, from starter, appetizer, side dishes, sashimi, main course and desserts ... I would say foods are super super delicious and you could taste it freshness! Besides, we ordered one bottle of Sake, it was served in both temperature, cold and warm sakae, both can have
a subtly different tastes.Personally I would prefer cold sake. Why? Because it feels refreshing when you drink it, and later you would feel the 'heat' inside your body =)

Dinner was pretty good, and we did enjoy ourselves there. Boss also agreed to give us a free air-ticket to United States. YES, it's FREE TICKET okay... We could choose any city in States. Great isn't it? Well, I can't wait for it. =D

Guess how much was the bill??

A Brief Time On This Earth, Now With Our Lord For Eternity

Wednesday, October 24, 2007

I received a call from Tracy, my colleague around 3.30pm on the Sunday Afternoon, 21 Oct 2007, informed me that Lim passed away...

Lim was admitted to hospital in May 2007, and undergone couple of operations since her stay there. The latest one being, part of her intestines are now seated on top of her tummy, connected to a bag where her faeces are, externally. The difficulty in passing faeces has effected this operation. She's in pain all the time, from her abdomen sides to her right thigh. Her feet are bloated too. Her tumour size has grown bigger, by 1cm (from 4cm to 5cm). It aches us seeing her like that. She's not improved since she'd gone in General Hospital for 3 weeks.

Really sad that the doctor informed the family members that she will have a maximum of 18 months life span without her knowing it. It's good in the sense that she can still fighting to live on as she's always do for the past 4 years. But unexpectively, she's gone now...

She was buried at Nirvana, Semenyih, 8 blocks aways from her parents.

"Beyond thoughts and opinions

Beyond songs and silence

Beyond today and tomorrow

Beyond live

Just one thing remains....

~~Memories... "

May God Bless and RIP.

Forever Missed, Forever Loved.

Singapore Trip 29-31 Aug 2007

Thursday, September 6, 2007

It was a very last minute decision by the management, only got to know i'll be sent for training on Friday, 24 Aug 2007 and i have to rush to renew my passport (it's less than 06 months) on monday, 27 Aug 2007. Luckily i can get my passport within a day...

29 Aug 2007 - As usual, went to work for half a day. At 12 noon, my colleague, Hazel and i went to KLIA by ERL ourself.. We were departing from KUL-SIN by MH at 1540HRS. BUT the flight was delayed for one hour and we were seating inside the aircraft waiting, waiting and waiting. And the aircond inside the aircraft wasn't cold enough. My colleagues and i had a slight headache actually. The reason given by crew was one person gone missing, but MAS only announced it after 30 minutes flight delayed. And they took another 30 minutes to off load the missing person's baggage and took off! Can you imagine how MAS system works, and i will say MAS = MANA ADA SYSTEM!!! Upon arrival, the MAS's pilot landing skill was suck, so bumpy...

After immigration clearance and baggage claiming, we wait for our free shuttle bus to Grand Mercure Roxy Hotel. After Check-in to hotel, we went for dinner at Katong Street. Its famous for Laksa. In fact, there are two or more Katong Laksa along the street. The most famous one is 328 Katong Laksa.

30 Aug 2007 - Training full day at NWA office. Met colleagues from different countries. And our training instructor was from Minneapolis HQ office. Training finished quite early actually, it's good so that i can meet my best friends earlier. We waited each other at Harbour Front and had dinner at Thai Retaurant in Vivo City.

After dinner, we walked along the bayfront at Vivo City and head to St.James Power Station. At St.James Power Station, entertainment comes in the form of a giant 70,000 square foot complex, which is aptly located within the premises of Singapore's first coal-fired power station built in 1927. It consists of 09 outlets. Peppermint Park is one of the outlet that we chilled out. The interior and external design of this outlet is super duper... i lovin it..

Regina and I were staying at Robertson Quay Hotel on 30th night... the room rate isn't cheap though, kinda disappointed with the room and breakfast served. It's only 04 dishes, scrambled eggs, bean, hotdog and bread with butter. The bean wasn't cook, it's bit hard to bite because they just poured it from the can.

31 Aug 2007 - Regina and me had decided to go to Sentosa Island for one day tour.. We walked to Clarke Quay to take MRT to Harbour front to take the cable car to Sentosa Island. We went to Underwater World, Pink Dolphin Lagoon and Butterfly Farm. Went around the island by using their shuttle bus which devided to 03 lines.. Blue, Yellow and Red line. and also their beach tram.

We enjoyed ourself there until 4pm... then we head back to Harbour Front and connect to MRT to Changi Airport to catch my flight at 8pm. I was really tired after the Sentosa Trip... Hope to go back again with friends... Fly back to KUL by SQ.. SQ's pilot landing skill is much better than MAS but the crews onboard are... i think they really need to change the crew onboard... Flight arrived punctually... clear immigration and went back home by limousine...
