A Brief Time On This Earth, Now With Our Lord For Eternity

Wednesday, October 24, 2007

I received a call from Tracy, my colleague around 3.30pm on the Sunday Afternoon, 21 Oct 2007, informed me that Lim passed away...

Lim was admitted to hospital in May 2007, and undergone couple of operations since her stay there. The latest one being, part of her intestines are now seated on top of her tummy, connected to a bag where her faeces are, externally. The difficulty in passing faeces has effected this operation. She's in pain all the time, from her abdomen sides to her right thigh. Her feet are bloated too. Her tumour size has grown bigger, by 1cm (from 4cm to 5cm). It aches us seeing her like that. She's not improved since she'd gone in General Hospital for 3 weeks.

Really sad that the doctor informed the family members that she will have a maximum of 18 months life span without her knowing it. It's good in the sense that she can still fighting to live on as she's always do for the past 4 years. But unexpectively, she's gone now...

She was buried at Nirvana, Semenyih, 8 blocks aways from her parents.

"Beyond thoughts and opinions

Beyond songs and silence

Beyond today and tomorrow

Beyond live

Just one thing remains....

May God Bless and RIP.

Singapore Trip 29-31 Aug 2007

Thursday, September 6, 2007

It was a very last minute decision by the management, only got to know i'll be sent for training on Friday, 24 Aug 2007 and i have to rush to renew my passport (it's less than 06 months) on monday, 27 Aug 2007. Luckily i can get my passport within a day...

29 Aug 2007 - As usual, went to work for half a day. At 12 noon, my colleague, Hazel and i went to KLIA by ERL ourself.. We were departing from KUL-SIN by MH at 1540HRS. BUT the flight was delayed for one hour and we were seating inside the aircraft waiting, waiting and waiting. And the aircond inside the aircraft wasn't cold enough. My colleagues and i had a slight headache actually. The reason given by crew was one person gone missing, but MAS only announced it after 30 minutes flight delayed. And they took another 30 minutes to off load the missing person's baggage and took off! Can you imagine how MAS system works, and i will say MAS = MANA ADA SYSTEM!!! Upon arrival, the MAS's pilot landing skill was suck, so bumpy...

After immigration clearance and baggage claiming, we wait for our free shuttle bus to Grand Mercure Roxy Hotel. After Check-in to hotel, we went for dinner at Katong Street. Its famous for Laksa. In fact, there are two or more Katong Laksa along the street. The most famous one is 328 Katong Laksa.

30 Aug 2007 - Training full day at NWA office. Met colleagues from different countries. And our training instructor was from Minneapolis HQ office. Training finished quite early actually, it's good so that i can meet my best friends earlier. We waited each other at Harbour Front and had dinner at Thai Retaurant in Vivo City.

After dinner, we walked along the bayfront at Vivo City and head to St.James Power Station. At St.James Power Station, entertainment comes in the form of a giant 70,000 square foot complex, which is aptly located within the premises of Singapore's first coal-fired power station built in 1927. It consists of 09 outlets. Peppermint Park is one of the outlet that we chilled out. The interior and external design of this outlet is super duper... i lovin it..

Regina and I were staying at Robertson Quay Hotel on 30th night... the room rate isn't cheap though, kinda disappointed with the room and breakfast served. It's only 04 dishes, scrambled eggs, bean, hotdog and bread with butter. The bean wasn't cook, it's bit hard to bite because they just poured it from the can.

31 Aug 2007 - Regina and me had decided to go to Sentosa Island for one day tour.. We walked to Clarke Quay to take MRT to Harbour front to take the cable car to Sentosa Island. We went to Underwater World, Pink Dolphin Lagoon and Butterfly Farm. Went around the island by using their shuttle bus which devided to 03 lines.. Blue, Yellow and Red line. and also their beach tram.

We enjoyed ourself there until 4pm... then we head back to Harbour Front and connect to MRT to Changi Airport to catch my flight at 8pm. I was really tired after the Sentosa Trip... Hope to go back again with friends... Fly back to KUL by SQ.. SQ's pilot landing skill is much better than MAS but the crews onboard are... i think they really need to change the crew onboard... Flight arrived punctually... clear immigration and went back home by limousine...

Idiotic 01

Thursday, July 12, 2007

I had a very bad experience in one company when i worked in KK... this is one of the well-established company, well known for their services... WOW... you must be very impressed !!! Never Never think that way cos it SUCKS !!! The management is so damn bad, not organised, not protecting staffs and etc...when i asked for SOP.. they said they are doing it.. WHAT ??? company established more than 10 years dun even have SOP ??? I was shocked and having doubt about this company...

Another incident happened, and employee asked to pay for their mistakes regardless or not, they will deduct from your salary and they WILL NOT absorb all the living expenses and etc... GOING CRAZY !! The pay is so damn low and have to deduct pay ??? Non-sense!!! Let me tell you... if they wanted you to sign something.. PLEASE READ and UNDERSTAND it first before you sign because once you've signed, you cannot argue with them already.

Besides, please remember, regardless how bad u did in the company and they ask you to pay... never never to do because according to LABOUR LAW, "EMPLOYEE SHALL NOT PAY TO EMPLOYER"... the most they can do is terminate you within 24hrs... REMEMBER THAT !!! If you experience the same thing... please seek advice from Labour Department and they will help you...

Mt.Kinabalu Climbing

Tuesday, July 10, 2007

[tongue.png]

Climbed Mt Kinabalu few years back and i thought of writing a blog and show some of the pics took by me and friends...

[kinabalu-map.gif]

We started our journey with one porter at 0830am, we walked down from Timpohon Gate, we passed through one mini size waterfall (i can't remember the waterfall name). 500meters away from Timpohon Gate, we had reached an uneven 'staircase'. i looked up and stared a few seconds. "Am i gonna do this?? since i'd paid so much", asking myself. "eemm.. die ma die" climbed up to the uneven staircase. After conquered the very first staircase, i doubted again and my tear dropped and i thought of gave up the trip. Again, my fren left me alone with the porter and trying to give me motivation along the way..
this is wat i called uneven staircase
this gonna kill me off....
stones
Finally, i got a shelter to rest after 1km journey... rested about 10 mins, porter and my fren decided to move on... so do i. The longer u rest, the laziest to move on... Along the way, i kept asking the porter where's the next shelter? "depan lagi depan lagi", he answered. I was so looking forward to the next shelter... and kept on asking him where's the damn shelter, why is it so damn far and the fellar said depan lagi depan lagi..and depan so long yet to see any shelter...
I really took my own sweet time to climb eventhough it rained.. not too heavy but getting colder... i reached Laban Rata Resthouse at 5.30pm... (normally people took about 4-5 hours only from Timpohon Gate to Laban Rate Resthouse, approx. 6.2km) a bit paiseh la.. took so long to climb.. hehe... Took a rest and dryed up my cloths/shoes... it's freezing up there, dare not to shower eventhough there's water heater.. i just can't cope with the weather.. we slept after dinner..... cos the most challenging part to be continued in the early morning..

Laban Rata Resthouse (the only resthouse with restaurant, heater and water heater)

at 5km

me and the porter

It's 2.00am in the morning, porter gave us morning call and prepared ourself to move on.. it's very dark and everyone of us having our own torchlight. I climbed a bit, i think it's less than 100meter away from Laban Rata, and i decided to return as it's too cold and hardly breathe. That time the temperature was less than 10 degree celcius.. freaking cold!!! It's kinda sad that i unable to make the trip up but at our resthouse, i did enjoyed the view, view to the mountain and KK town. i know it's even nicer i could be there at Summit.

when going down from the summit.. my fren took it

Here's some hiking tips for u guys :

1) Shoes - Preferred jogging/gym shoes with “original rubber” sole with good grip. This is because the mountain is steep and slippery especially after rain.

2) Warm Clothing - Get warm clothing that is wind and rain proof, easy to put on and take off and not too bulky and heavy. This is because the whether can change very quickly from brilliant sunshine, to mist and clouds, to a torrential down-pour.

3) Water - one litre should be enough, there are at least 6 shelters along the way to Laban Rata Rest House to refill your water. However, you may bring more water in the second part of the journey cause there only have 2 stops where you can refill your water. You may want to bring a thermos to keep warm water cause its really cold up there.

4) Food - Bring some high energy food such as chocolate , nuts, raisin , glucose , etc. Don’t worry about your breakfast, lunch , dinner, you can buy from Laban Rata Rest House. Although the price is not cheap, but if after you saw the local people carrying the food all the way from base camp, then you will feel the price is worth.

5) Torch light - Bring a super extra light if you can. I promise you won’t regret it.

6) Gloves - Bring more pairs as spare . It is priceless when you up there. When you ascend the summit you most likely will grab onto the ropes to help you climb up. Same that when you descend, in order to slow down your speed, by grabbing the ropes, it is easier for you to walk down.

7) Medicine - Headache tablets are most useful.

8) Sunblock - Don’t be fooled by the clouds, the sun is fierce at that altitude. To avoid sunburn, wear Sun block to guard against sun burn and bring along your sun hat or wolly hat.

9) Jackets - carry a water proof jackets in case of raining.

10) Plastic bag - Put all your things into plastic bag incase of raining.
